Philanthropy Projects for North Cities Quilt Guild
HIS House: HIS House exists to support people overcome homelessness and achieve independence. Each resident receives a pillowcase and quilt.
Living Well Pregnancy Center: Provides free pregnancy services to the community, for women with unplanned pregnancies. We provide gender-neutral quilts.
Women’s Transitional Center, Fullerton: A place for women and children to heal and create a stable environment.
Crittenton: Provides services for Children and Families. It is a child advocacy and mental health organization committed to believing in the potential of every child, youth, and family. Provide quilts for children and teens.
St. Joseph Hospital Oncology Unit: Provides an impatient treatment center.
Shriners Hospital: Provides treatment to children and their families.
Crescent Landing at Fullerton: Provides assistive living for memory care. Provide lap-size quilts for clients.
Days for Girls: The Guild provides this site with flannel that is in turn sewn together as undergarments for the girls. This allows these young ladies to attend school.
Meals on Wheels: Serves approximately 75 clients per year. Our guild is choosing to add this one to our list and will provide placemats for new clients.
UCR Guardian Scholars Program: Supporting students as they transition from foster care to and through college by providing such things as housing, textbooks, mentoring, tutoring, and scholarships. We will provide pillowcases for students.
